About
Hungry Brain approaches art as a form of research. It chews on ideas that I might usually dismiss in fear of being too silly, not reflective of who I really am, or it feels like a waste of time. This project pushes back on perfectionism, permitting myself to paint and draw freely, even when the work feels messy or uncertain. While it's rooted in my own experiments, it’s also an invitation for you to make things purely for the sake of making, no matter how weird or pointless they may seem because “bad art” needs to be made. It's a practice of purging which may lead to spaciousness, which may lead to clarity and finding your visual voice.
Indulge in your curiosity, no matter how strange, playful, or imperfect the creative result. Feed your hungry brain.
